Vasundhara

The poems presented in this volume are from the last four years of his life. They were written after two spells of serious illness. The shadow of approaching death is prominent, although one should not be misled into thinking that death is the only topic of his late creation. The poems are chosen to give the volume a thematic unity. The volumes from which the collection is selected are Prantik (1938), Rog – Sajyay (1940), Arogya (1940), Janmadine (1941) and Sesh Lekha (1941).
