देश- विदेश के श्रेष्ठतम सिनेमा दिखाने के क्रम में इस बार शनिवार 19 अक्टूबर को हम दिखाने जा रहे हैं पोलैंड के महान फिल्मकार क्रिस्टोफ किज़लोस्की की सबसे प्रसिद्ध DEKALOG श्रृंखला की दस में से  पहली दो कड़ियाँ Dekalog 1 और 2 जिन्हें आप किसी भी हालात में मिस न करें! इस श्रृंखला के बारे में दुनिया भर के समीक्षकों की राय है कि किसी भी देश की किसी भी भाषा में टेलीविज़न के लिए इससे बेहतर सिनेमा नहीं बना है!  पचास पचास मिनट की इन फिल्मों की  कहानियां अपनी रोचकता में भी कई सवाल हमारे सामने छोड़ जाती हैं।

I loved the way the Director framed everyday issues alongside moral and ethical dilemmas that often lack clear resolutions. While religion is frequently presented as a source of eternal wisdom, its interpretation can certainly be debated.

From what Google tells me, these films were created in late 1980s Poland, during a time when the Solidarity movement was gaining momentum, communism was beginning to decline, and Western influences had yet to fully penetrate the society. I’m definitely going to explore the remaining eight installments (available on YouTube).
